Ensure that Higher Education will be available to ALL students:
1. Call your legislators & let them know that you support access to education for allstudents.There have been several bills that have been introduced to the NC General Assembly this year that would increase access to higher education for immigrant students, and severalthat would severely limit access. Click here to see a summaries of these bills. It is important to call the following elected officials about the bills thatare being considered.
Who to call:
o Your own Representative or Senator. You can find the elected officials that represent you by going to: http://www.ncga.state.nc.us/GIS/RandR07/Home.html
o Members of the committee where the bills have been referred. All of the key bills have been referred to either the Education committee in the House or the Education/Higher Education committee in the Senate.

2. Participate in an upcoming Lobby Day
Adelante will be coordinating lobby days from 9 am - 12:30 pm on April 22 and May 5, 20, & 28 in order to talk about the importance of education for all students in North
Carolina, and in particular the importance of enabling immigrant students to attend NC colleges and universities. Each lobby day will include a brief orientation to lobbying and the Education for All Campaign, visits with elected officials, and a debrief over lunch. 3. Sign Our Petition
Take a moment to sign on to our petition to show that you support that all students

4. Write a Letter to the Editor
Let's make sure that the voices heard in the media are not one-sided- all it takes is
150-200 words saying why you believe that all students deserve an opportunity to pursue their education. Make sure to download a list of talking points. Editorial Email Addresses
5. Keep Up with the Latest Developments
