The Adelante Coalition, the North Carolina NAACP and Rev. Dr. William J. Barber, II welcome all of our allies to stand together to speak out in support of all young people in North Carolina being able to study and follow their dreams of higher education.
Creating financial and administrative hurdles to higher education for undocumented students is leading to the re-segregation of public education in North Carolina and treats undocumented people as second class citizens. Our young people want to study, achieve, and give back–let’s let them! By allowing students to pursue higher education, the state can benefit from students who are bilingual and bicultural, and able to contribute to the state’s collective productivity and economic growth.
Please join us on Dec. 24th at the NC Community College Administrative Building (200 w. Jones st., Raleigh, NC) at 10:00am to stand together with North Carolina’s young people this holiday season. We hope to see you there!
