February 4, 2015 By Dani Moore Leave a Comment

FREE WEBINAR

Tuesday, February 10, 2015 | 2:00-3:30pm (EST)webinar at 2pm

The Community College Consortium for Immigrant Education (CCCIE), the Undocumented Student Program (USP) at the University of California, Berkeley, the National Forum on Higher Education for the Public Good and the National Center for Institutional Diversity (NCID) at the University of Michigan invite you to participate in a free webinar on holistic support services for undocumented students at community colleges and universities.

Many campuses nationwide have begun opening their doors to undocumented students yet are limited in the support extended to them. What does it mean to holistically support an undocumented student’s success? And how do we best deliver and monitor these support services amid a rapidly changing policy environment? This webinar will define and propose models of holistic services for undocumented students at colleges and universities, and consider the unique challenges of students transferring between the two.

The current panel, moderated by Teresita Wisell, Executive Director of the CCCIE, and featuring panelists from the USP at UC Berkeley and the City Colleges of Chicago, will offer practice-based strategies for supporting undocumented students as they progress toward academic success.
