Carmen (she/her) is originally from Mexico, and moved to the United States with her family as a child. She grew up in Siler City and graduated from Jordan-Matthews High School in 2018. In 2022, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and a Minor in Management from Christian Brothers University where she was a recipient of TheDream.US Opportunity Scholarship. Carmen is dedicated to supporting youth in reaching their full potential through higher education and aims to make a positive impact in her community. Through her role as Youth Program Coordinator at The Hispanic Liaison/El Vínculo Hispano, Carmen was introduced to Adelante, drawing from her own experience navigating the college admission process while living in a state with restricted access. She is committed to advocating for tuition equity for all students, regardless of their immigration status.
